Feline Anemia Panel (PCR)

The Feline Anemia Panel is a comprehensive molecular diagnostic test designed to detect three key pathogens implicated in feline anemia: Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and Mycoplasma hemofelis. Feline anemia can result from viral-induced bone marrow suppression or hemolysis caused by hemotropic bacterial infections. FIV and FeLV are retroviruses that impair immune function, while Mycoplasma hemofelis is a hemotropic bacterium that directly targets red blood cells, leading to anemia. Using advanced PCR and rtPCR technologies, this panel provides rapid, specific, and sensitive identification of these pathogens in clinical samples, such as blood or bone marrow.
