Leptospira Panel – 8 Serovars

The Leptospira Panel – 8 Serovars is a comprehensive diagnostic tool that uses the quantitative microscopic agglutination test (MAT) to detect antibodies against eight major Leptospira serovars: pomona, icterohaemorrhagiae, canicola, grippotyphosa, hardjo, bratislava, autumnalis, and sejroe. Leptospirosis, a zoonotic bacterial infection, poses serious health risks to both animals and humans. This panel provides valuable insights into exposure or active infection by detecting antibodies specific to these serovars, assisting in diagnosing leptospirosis and guiding effective treatment.
